Cape Verde
Cape Verde are islands 300 miles outside of Africa's mainland, the capital is Praia. The islands are Sal The Sunniest Island, Boa Vista The Cosy Island, Santiago The Fertile Island, São Vicente The Cultural Island, Santo Antão The Mountainous Island, São Nicolau The Pristine Island, Maio The Secluded Island, Fogo The Volcanic Island, and Brava The Floweriest Island. The islands were empty until they were founded by the Portuguese in the 15th century and they used it for slave labor to grow cotton and indigo.
Then later used for slave trade for hundreds of years until the Portuguese left and the country was independent since 1974-75. The people built up the country and today is a great vacation spot with many beaches and things to do. Cape Verde is growing to be one of the greatest countries in Africa, the U.S. has been helping them built up by send support in the mid to late 1900's. They have built roads and building; also hasn't had any major problems with the civilians. They export a lot of fish from shellfish to lobster.
